IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

For the first time since its founding in 1996, we have decided to take this summer off and we will not hold any summer camp sessions this year 2012. Please check back for information on Northwoods Adventure 2013.

Founded in 1996, Northwoods Adventure is a co-educational international summer program with its primary focus on outdoor activities and experiential education. The program is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 15.

An Educational Opportunity.....

NWA is committed to providing an English language based summer program that promotes learning through participation in a camp atmosphere that is both very safe and very fun!

With its active outdoor program.....

Northwoods Adventure teaches valuable life skills: independence, responsibility, teamwork, cooperation, and respect.

By exploring the complexity of group dynamics with its campers, NWA fosters leadership skills and builds positive character traits in its participants through purpose-led and deliberate programs that foster their personal growth and development.

The experience of a lifetime!.....

NWA encourages its participants to embrace the camp acronym LETSC (let us see), which emphasises Leadership, Effort, Teamwork, Stepping Up, and Courage.

Location

In the heart of nature.....

on Erickson Lake, one of over 700 lakes within the boundary of the 3,600 square mile (1.5 million acre) Chippewa National Forest near Bemidji, Minnesota, U.S.A.

The 22 acre campus is privately owned and there is no public access to the lake.

Adjacent to the camp is an additional 800 acres of private forest, with streams and lakes, groomed trails for jeeping, biking, hiking and other nature related activities.

It is truly an 800+ acre paradise in the heart of nature!
