Focus
Teaching, fostering, and promoting positive behavior that helps all campers grow and develop during their time at camp. The program aims to create positive changes in each camper to enhance their ability to be productive leaders now and in the future.
A 4:1 camper/counselor ratio
Providing plenty of support for all campers by limiting camp sessions to 40 campers enables campers to build and strengthen friendships with all campers through a full schedule of daily activities, team challenges, and enjoyable games.
Personal Journals
Each camper is provided with their own personal journal for daily journal entries. The educational focus of daily journal entries is on writing and reflecting on the daily events and activities throughout the duration of the camp. In addition to using the journals for taking notes regarding the structure of the camp and the full schedule of daily activities and assignments, campers are also given daily writing tasks to hone their writing skills and provide them with a memory keepsake upon finishing the program.
LEFT: Hiroto and Valerie, the cabin leaders for week 3, go over the daily flip chart with the rest of the campers.

RIGHT: Teamwork, cooperation, and idea sharing are all part of the process when working in a group for one common goal as was the case with 'The girl's cabin plaque 2004'.
"LEARNING IS EASIEST WHEN IT'S FUN!"
Northwoods Adventure...... is committed to providing a safe, high quality outdoor program that emphasises learning through participation. The acronym LETSC (let's see), is used to motivate and inspire campers to achieve success.
Leadership, Effort, Teamwork, Stepping Up, and Courage
Each year, returning campers are given higher levels of responsibility within the camp structure. As confidence builds and leadership and communication skills improve campers are promoted to positions such as:
Team Leaders, Crew Leaders, Cabin Leaders, Junior Counselors and Counselors.
